  • *Herroepingsrecht / Right of withdrawal

    De wetgever heeft digitale downloadbare producten uitgezonderd van het herroepingsrecht, mits er aan een aantal voorwaarden wordt voldaan, zoals dat degene uitdrukkelijk afstand doet van zijn herroepingsrecht.
    Als koper ben je dus genoodzaakt om af te zien van je herroepingsrecht wanneer je software wilt downloaden. Dit gedwongen afstand doen van je recht komt misschien vreemd over, maar het is wel hoe de wet het voorschrijft voor software-downloads.

    The legislator has exempted digital downloadable products from the right of withdrawal, provided that a number of conditions are met, such as that the person explicitly waives his right of withdrawal. As a buyer you are therefore forced to waive your right of withdrawal when you want to download software. This enforced waiver may seem strange, but it is how the law prescribes it for software downloads.
