Beschrijving

The ALS120 is the last ISA soundchip from Avance Logic Inc. from the late 90s. It is mainly found on cheap no-name soundcards that seems all to have the same reference design. It is a highly integrated chip and the tiny card comes with just a few components, but there is a wavetable header for good. The chip offers an integrated OPL3 clone called ALSFM wich seems to be quite accurate. As an outstanding feature it offers Soundblaster 16 compatibility but sadly there is much noise and a weak S/N Ratio, even with optimized mixer settings.
